“Kids Don’t Float -- Life Jacket’s Do!”
	July 1, 2006- Peoria, AZ- the Peoria Fire Department in partnership with Maricopa County Parks: Lake Pleasant, and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will be at Lake Pleasant Regional Park with “life saving” information on how to prevent drowning.  It is expected to be a very busy day at the lake and we want to take this opportunity educate the public on the prevention of drowning.
	Sportsman’s and West Marine have generously donated 6 PFDs (Personal Floatation Devices) and Boat US has agreed to loan out an additional 30 PFDs.
	Firefighters will be at the lake handing out water safety information and looking for PFDs to be in use.
