Bell Road Overlay
Project
Description
Bell Road from the New River
Bridge just west of the loop 101 intersection to the County line
at approximately the 95th Avenue alignment will be milled and
overlayed with rubberized asphalt. The process will be to
mill off the existing asphalt on the edge of the pavement and
then cover the entire road surface with an overlayment of
rubberized asphalt. In addition to the pavement, three
intersections will be changed from loop detection to video
detection. All stripes and reflectors will be removed and
replaced with new stripes and new raised pavement markers.
All the work will be performed at night and will be scheduled to
be done in April or May, 2008 as soon as the weather warms up
enough to support placing the asphalt.

The overlay is complete
except for one manhole that needs to be adjusted. The
final striping will be put down in June, 2008. At that
time this project will be completed.
