Beardsley Road; 99th Avenue to Lake
Pleasant Road
Project Description
This is a City of Peoria, Capital Improvement Project to improve
the south half of Beardsley Road from Lake Pleasant Road to 99th
Avenue. The completed segment of roadway will include two
lanes in each direction, a two-way left turn lane and bike
lanes. The project will also include addition of street
lights, landscaping, pavement reconstruction and storm drain
improvements
In
addition, the City of Peoria has programmed a separate Capital
Improvement project to install a new 24" diameter waterline
along Beardsley Road from Lake Pleasant Road to 87th Avenue.
At this time, the waterline project is broken into separate
construction phases to allow for both these Beardsley Road
roadway improvements and the waterline improvements from Lake
Pleasant Road to approximately 95th Avenue to be constructed at
the same time.

Status
Currently the
City of Peoria is completing the solicitation process to select
an Engineering Consulting Firm to prepare the design documents
needed to move forward with construction. It is
anticipated that the design will be completed in the summer 2009
with construction beginning fall 2009 and ending summer 2010.
